‘I think the Live Guides are a very important part of understanding the exhibition. They were essential to my understanding of the exhibition today.’
Artes Mundi employs a team of Live Guides as mediators, they meet the shortlisted artists and have extensive knowledge of their work. Live Guides help interpret individual works, discuss ideas and answer questions from visitors. They offer regular guided tours and run creative workshops for a wide variety of audiences including families, schools, colleges and community groups.
For each exhibition we create a free learning resource which offers an insight into the artists’ work and the themes that emerge from the whole exhibition. They are for group leaders, teachers, students, families and individuals – providing a valuable tool to help anyone in their engagement with Artes Mundi artists and contemporary art in general.
