Recruiting: Senior Exhibition Guide
Artes Mundi is seeking a motivated arts worker with considerable learning and outreach experience for the post of Senior Exhibition Guide for Artes Mundi 8, taking place from October 26th 2018 – February 24th 2019.
The Senior Exhibition Guide will manage a small team of Exhibition Guides, who are the valuable point of contact for our audiences, interpreting work, discussing ideas which derive from them and the exhibition as a whole.
The Senior Exhibition Guide will be primarily responsible for devising and implementing the Exhibition Guide programme, including workshops, tours and activities for a variety of audiences including families, schools, colleges and community groups. The successful candidate will also be required to devise and implement a training programme for the team of Exhibition Guides ahead of the exhibition opening.

- Do you have a fine art related education qualification or relevant experience?
- Can you communicate clearly – verbally and through writing at a range of level with individuals of all ages?
- Are you enthusiastic, ready to engage and reliable?
The successful candidate will be required to familiarise themself with the work of each artist and the cultural context of the work and will assist with the shortlisting and interview process of the team of Exhibition Guides.
The rate of pay is £15 per hour. The successful candidate would start early to mid-September and the post is full time (37.5 hours per week) and is offered on a temporary basis for approximately 22 weeks. The position is subject to satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance.
