Never mind the teachers, what do the kids think about Artes Mundi?
Following Artes Mundi 6 we wanted to find out more about how school pupils and college students responded to our creative workshops in the gallery spaces.
The responses were interesting as we haven’t previously recorded young people’s experiences as part of our creative workshop activity. In particular, we were interested to gauge their use of language and critical thinking.
What it showed was that the overwhelming response was of a positive nature, with many expressing their engagement with contemporary art as exhilarating.
Here are some word clouds showing what words were most used to describe the experience of the exhibition. The bigger the word the more it was used.
