There are many opportunities that can enhance your own or your group’s visit to the Artes Mundi 6 exhibition and all are FREE. These activities are very popular,  so bookings for group or schools visits must be made in advance by contacting the venue directly:

What we offer:

Artes Mundi Live Guides

Artes Mundi employs a team of Live Guides as mediators who have met the shortlisted artists and have extensive knowledge of their work.

Live Guides are there to help interpret individual works, discuss ideas and answer questions from visitors. They offer regular guided tours and run creative workshops for a wide variety of audiences including families, schools, colleges and community groups.

A practical workshop delivered by an experienced Live Guide. The session includes a tour of the exhibition encouraging debate and personal response followed by creative activity in the gallery.  Artes Mundi workshops are designed to develop critical thinking, visual literacy and creative skills.

These free workshops last 1 ¼ hours and take place:

10.15-11.30am & 11.45 – 13.00, Tuesday to Friday at the National Museum Cardiff, book directly with the museum.

Public Guided Tours

Free guided tours are available during the exhibition at the National Museum Cardiff. These friendly and informative 45-60 minute tours are led by one of our Live Guides and give an overview of the exhibition and its themes.

2pm daily at the Museum (book on arrival at the Information Desk)
